Are Georgia residents shocked that Eastwood’s wife wants alimony?

Marriage is usually something that brings happiness to the bride and groom. After the wedding, though, things sometimes change. People don’t stay the same year after year, and when people change, divorce may be what is best. Recently, Georgia residents may have read that, after several years of marriage, the Eastwoods are finally getting divorced and alimony is being requested.

Dina Eastwood allegedly filed for the divorce this past week. The couple had spent many years of their marriage legally separated and have now apparently determined that a divorce is what is best for them. Dina is seeking spousal support as well as the legal fees to be paid by Clint, who has an estimated net worth of over $370 million.

Clint Eastwood’s first marriage ended in divorce, too — though it lasted over 30 years. However, reports have indicated that, for most of his life, Clint was a womanizer, so it isn’t necessarily a shock that this marriage is resulting in divorce as well. Age and personal successes are said to be some of the reasons that people didn’t think the marriage would work. Some even called the marriage crazy.

Divorce is a tough pill to swallow on most occasions, but let’s face it, no one knows the future, and sometimes life just turns out that way. For those who file for divorce in Georgia, and anywhere else in the country, opting to request alimony may help with the transition into the post-divorce life. Knowing one’s rights and responsibilities that come with filing for divorce may make the entire situation easier to deal with, should a marriage unfortunately come to an end.
