Aggressive Advocacy And Trusted Legal Guidance For Your Most Important Matters

Adoption in Georgia has the power to change lives

On Behalf of Harrison & Medlin, P.C. | Jan 7, 2016 | Adoption

Adopting a child is a life-changing decision and often comes at a price. In the beginning, both spouses may not be on the same page about bringing a child from somewhere else into their family forever. However, the impact that adoption makes on the lives of those involved cannot be denied. Those looking into adoption in Georgia have resources available to them that can help them work through the sometimes daunting process.

One couple began their journey to having a family of their own with the struggle to have children. They eventually had a little girl, but by that time, this husband and wife knew that they wanted to adopt a child. As they began the process, they decided that they wanted to pursue an international adoption and were willing to adopt a child with special needs.

During the four and a half year process to adopt their daughter, the couple found out that the wife was pregnant again. With another child on the way, they continued with the adoption and were soon introduced to their future daughter. Just months later, they traveled to China and brought her home.

The story of this adoption, as well as many others, has inspired many to look into the process. Becoming the forever family for a child who may otherwise never experience that is a big choice to make. Georgia couples can seek assistance with the adoption process from family law professionals who have experience handling these matters and understand the various aspects that they entail.
