On Behalf of Harrison & Medlin, P.C. | Jan 5, 2021 | Car Wrecks

It might not come as a surprise that the aftermath of a collision affects a person’s life in various ways. Injuries stemming from a crash could create various hardships in life, and should the incident prove fatal, it could leave family members feeling stunned by an unexpected loss. Two individuals died and several others suffered injuries during a recent car accident that took place in Georgia.

Authorities have advised that the incident took place on a recent Wednesday evening. While authorities did not provide many of the details pertaining to what might have caused it to occur, they did state that it involved two vehicles and that a portion of the road closed for multiple hours while an investigation was underway. Reports also indicate that, upon arriving at the scene, emergency responders had to take action to extract several trapped individuals from their vehicles.

According to authorities, rescuers rushed as many as four of those involved in the crash to local hospitals for treatment of injuries, one of whom remains in critical condition. They also say that two others suffered fatal harm and died at the scene of the crash. Car accidents of this nature can occur at any given moment, and the fallout of such an incident can have a lingering impact on the lives of those involved and of those who lose a loved one in the process.

When a car accident causes serious injury or sudden loss, those affected by the incident may be in search of answers, or even justice. Following the crash, a person in Georgia could choose to consult with an attorney for advice on the next steps to take to seek restitution through the civil justice system. An attorney can help a client better understand what to expect from the process and assist in pursuing the full amount of restitution entitled through a claim against the party deemed at fault.
