A recent collision in which the driver of a motor vehicle reportedly pulled into the path of a motorcycle while making a left turn has reportedly claimed the life of a 24-year-old man in Georgia. Car accidents involving motorcycles can have devastating results that could place the health of a rider at significant risk or leave loved ones grieving over an unexpected loss. Suffering loss under such a scenario can prove a harrowing experience and those who face similar hardships may be left with questions about how best to prepare to seek restitution via a wrongful death claim.

Left-turn accident

Reports indicate that law enforcement agents responded to the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle on a recent Saturday evening. An investigation into the incident indicated that it began when the driver of a car made a left turn out of a nearby driveway. The car reportedly proceeded to pull out in front of a nearby motorcycle in the process and the rider apparently proceeded to crash into the side of the car.

Emergency responders advised that the rider was transported to a hospital but passed away soon after arriving at the facility. The driver of the car was also taken to a medical facility for treatment of serious injuries. Left-turn accidents continue to be a prevalent concern for avid motorcycle riders and even those who choose to promote defensive riding may struggle to respond when a motor vehicle suddenly emerges into their path.

 The next steps

Those who lose a loved one in a car accident involving similar circumstances and remain uncertain of the next steps to take could benefit from retaining the services of an attorney for advice on their options. An attorney can evaluate the incident and provide a client with insight into his or her available legal options. Seeking such advice could help a person better prepare to pursue the restitution to which he or she is entitled to receive via the proper outlets.
